We planted these Petite Sirah vines with sipping wine in mind. 2015 was an exceptional growing season—perfect for making this lovely Petite Sirah wine. The grapes were crushed and the wine left on the skins following fermentation. This process gave the wine its ruby hue and rich mouth feel. When the tannins became mellow and balanced, the wine was pressed off the skins, and transferred to barrels, where it aged 21 months in new oak. A combination of Hungarian, French and American Oak barrels were used.

Serve at cellar temperature (60-65 degrees), open 1 hour before serving.
This 2015 Petite Sirah is a comfortable, sipping wine. The nose opens with musky, woodsy aromas which explode as the wine warms in the glass. The first sip is euphoric, as flavors of ripe fruit and touches of black pepper fill the mouth and linger on the palate.
For a picnic, pair it with salami, black olives, Creamy Tuscano and Asiago cheeses. Finish with ripe strawberries and a bit of dark chocolate.
For dinner, sip it with slow-cooked roasts of beef or pork, Moroccan style lamb shanks, or Wild Boar stew with root vegetables. For dessert, try double chocolate cake.
Our Petite Sirah is the perfect complement to a meal, but best of all, this lovely Petite Sirah is best when shared with friends.
